Dairy - Dairy Farmers of Manitoba
Dairy Farmers of Manitoba is committed to producing milk according to the highest standards of quality and is totally financed by and represents all dairy farmers in the province. A total of 529 family-owned dairy farms produce 814,000 litres of milk everyday. These dairy farms are found in all areas of the province from Swan River to Piney, and from Melita to Riverton. All milk produced in Manitoba is processed into consumer-ready dairy products. Approximately 35% of all milk is packaged for table milk and cream and 65% of all milk is processed into cheese, butter, and skim milk powder.
